Water the new sod, daily for at least 20-30 min.

Water a second time daily is recommended if the temperatures is over 25 degrees and sunny.

Water the sod in the morning or the evening, when temperature are cooler.

Avoid walking on the new sod.

Do not mow the lawn yet.

10 - 21 days

Water every other day for approximately 30 minutes.

Keep foot traffic to a minimum.

Do not mow the lawn yet.

3 weeks and beyond

Water the lawn twice a week, making sure to apply 1” each week.

You may begin to mow the lawn as needed, avoid cutting it too short.

The lawn should be fairly well rooted and can take normal wear and tear.

Sod is fertilized prior to harvesting, so it usually does need to be fertilized the first year.

At Flourish landscape, we intall sod from April until the first snow. Grass is very resillient.

There is no minimum. There is no job too small.
